What are Quality Indicators?

Quality indicator results for the previous calendar year demonstrate the level of service the RTO provides in three key areas:

Space21. Learner engagement
This quality indicator focuses on the extent to which learners engage in activities that are likely to promote high quality skill outcomes. It includes learner perceptions of the quality of their competency development and the support they receive from their RTOs.

2. Employer satisfaction

Why are Quality Indicators important?

Space2

Nationally consistent data allows for benchmarking among RTOs and encourages RTOs to discuss ways to improve training and assessment with other training organisations. It also allows RTOs to gauge how well they’re meeting client needs, helps with the development of relationships with key learner and employer stakeholders, and may assist in the identification of areas for improvement in training and assessment.

How does Personal Training Academy use these Quality Indicators?

Space2

These indicators are based on a survey sample of 300 students. This sample represents approximately 20 percent of this organisation’s training delivery in the 2012 calendar year. The participants surveyed for these indicators were selected by this organisation in accordance with national guidelines. Quality indicator data will assist Personal Training Academy in their continuous improvement processes. This may include identifying trends over time and benchmarking with other RTOs or areas in our delivery and assessment which Personal Training Academy needs to focus on.
