Most employees look for a recognised qualification for which we have multiple options.
There is no age limit, however to start your studies you need to be over 15 years of age.
We like to give a guide of 12 months to complete each course, however depending on the time that you are willing to commit you can finish them more quickly if you choose to.

Getting qualified isn’t hard, it just takes commitment to your studies and then a willingness to work hard once you are qualified.

Most fitness centres require a minimum of SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness AND SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness. These courses can generally be completed in under 12 months each.

Yes you do. Whilst the theory component of the course is 100% online, you will also need to complete a series of practical assessments with a qualified trainer who will need to sign off your competencies.

HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid

This is required if you want to register as a trainer with Fitness Australia.

No formal qualifications or subjects are needed in order to start your studies in the fitness industry. Any science, nutrition or sport based subjects will help with your general knowledge, but are not required to start a course.

SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness is a further 20 units of study to SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness, AND once you complete this you can take clients one on one and also group PT sessions.

SIS40221 Certificate IV also incorporates business, strength and conditioning and goes further in depth with nutrition and other key subjects.

SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness is a prerequisite of SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness.
