Krista Sirota

Krista was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada and began her working life as a radio journalist.

Her early life experiences watching older relatives become progressively less and less mobile and active in their later years strongly influenced her choices; she made a gradual shift from un-sporty book-loving geek towards physically active book-loving geek, beginning to train physically in 1995.

She has a passion for training that serves you in the long term and can be found enthusiastically spreading the word about barefoot training, the need for mobility, the option of stand-up desks and the joy of functional, sustainable training methods.

She made the move into the fitness industry in 2002 and has worked in the United Kingdom and Australia, where she is now based. A pilates instructor since 2002, her interest in proper alignment and technique has helped her assist clients to move well (rather than just moving)!

In 2007, she began her yoga instructor training, completing (500 hr course) in India in 2011. With over 14 years of experience as a personal trainer, she is also a master level educator for world-leading fitness companies such as TRX, Trigger Point Performance, the Australian Institute of Kettlebells and a PTA Global Faculty Member.

Ideally, she’d like to reach the 50% – 80% of people who don’t exercise instead of continually preaching to the same choir and believes the fitness industry needs to get much better at preaching awesome recovery and regeneration techniques as well as the latest killer workout.
