Upon trawling Facebook (as we all now do) I stumbled on this article that describes how Fascia is integrally part of our systems. fasciaIt surrounds everything. It links everything. I’ll let the article do most of the talking, but, I think the last sentence sums it up beautifully:

“Don’t just isolate the body … appreciate the whole body is a holistic structure. Everything is connected.”

If you would like to learn more about the science of Fascia and how our body’s are “one muscle with 660 pockets” as Thomas Myers explains it, there is some great recourses out there. Thomas Myers book “Anatomy Trains for Myofascial Therapists” is a great source for the theory. PTA Global Bridging and Advanced courses are a great way to get the theory and the practical application of Myofascial Anatomy.

Keep learning!
